The beautiful and historical Ilocos region is famous for different sightseeing trips like the Cape Bojeador Lighthouse, the country’s tallest lighthouse. Also, being the home where former President Ferdinand E. Marcos was born and raised, The Marcos Museum and Mausoleum and the Malacañang of the North, which is their ancestral home, give us an overview of his life. One distinct feature of Ilocos is the Paoay Church, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From historical sights, you can also go to the Desert of the North called La Paz, and the beautiful Bangui Windmills that help reduce the effects of global warming.
