When I was young, Christmas would be a big celebration of the whole family in our house in Malabon. Now, I like to celebrate it by bonding with my sons. We go somewhere quiet and that includes all the way up to New Year. I don’t like to spend it in Manila because it’s too noisy and there’s too much pollution from the firecrackers. We like to watch the first sunrise of the year in different places. We have been to Cambodia, Laos, and India and we would get up early to watch the sunrise.

I will be on a float this Christmas – that’s the Manila International FilmFest float because the parade
starts on December 24. Of course, I will be with my family on Christmas Day because the entire Isidro clan will have its annual bingo. Napakasaya, lalo na kung ikaw ang winner!

I’ll be in New York with my kids. It’s a simple Christmas: we set up the Christmas tree, have noche buena, fix the dinner table to make it look really nice. It’s a white Christmas for us, and the best part is, we get to snuggle together because it’s cold! My entire family is spread out also in L.A., and here in the Philippines, and I wish that, even for just a day, we could all spend it together.
